Election Commissioner (EC) Rasheda Sultana said that 30 registered political parties are participating in the upcoming 12th National Parliament elections.
She said this to the reporters after the election preparatory meeting with the election officials of four districts at BIAM Auditorium in Bogra on Monday (November 27)
She said, "out of 44 registered political parties, 30 are participating, so the election is going to be participatory. I don't want to go into the method of election in 2014 and 2018, I don't have that experience either. Because this commission did not exist at that time."
She claimed that the current commission wants to conduct a fair and impartial election. This requires everyone's cooperation.
At that time, Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Dr. Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir, DIG Rajshahi Division of Police Anichur Rahman, RAB-12 CEO Maruf Hossain, Rajshahi Regional Election Officer Delwar Hossain, DC of Bogra Saiful Islam, Superintendent of Police Shudip Kumar Chakraborty and other officials related to the election were present then.
